Background of the Role

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with 5+ years of experience to lead our DevOps initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud technologies, automation, and CI/CD pipelines. Desired Profile

1. Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
   Implement and maintain infrastructure using tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
   Automate provisioning and configuration management.
2. Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD):
   Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines.
   Ensure automated testing and deployment processes.
3. Cloud Technologies:
   Expertise in cloud platforms, particularly AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
   Implement and manage cloud resources and services.
4. Containerization and Orchestration:
   Containerize applications using Docker.
   Orchestrate containers using Kubernetes.
5. Monitoring and Logging:
   Implement monitoring solutions for applications and infrastructure.
   Set up centralized logging systems for effective troubleshooting.
6. Security Best Practices:
   Implement and enforce security best practices in infrastructure and applications.
   Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
7. Collaboration with Development Teams:
   Work closely with development teams to understand requirements and optimize workflows.
   Provide expertise in optimizing applications for performance and scalability.
8. Release Management:
   Coordinate and manage releases.
   Ensure smooth deployments with minimal downtime.
9. Automation Scripts:
   Develop automation scripts for routine tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).
10. Event Streaming with Kafka:
    Design, implement, and maintain Kafka clusters for event streaming.
    Integrate Kafka into the overall architecture for data synchronization.
11. Web Server Optimization with Nginx:
    Configure and optimize Nginx for load balancing, reverse proxy, and caching.
    Collaborate with development teams to ensure Nginx configurations align with application requirements.
12. Documentation:
    Maintain detailed and up-to-date documentation for infrastructure and processes.
    Provide training and support to other team members.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a DevOps role.
3. Proficient in infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
4. Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
5. Expertise in containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
6. In-depth understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
7. Solid experience in implementing security measures in infrastructure and applications.
8. Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, etc.).
9. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
10. Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice To Have

• Certifications in relevant technologies (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Kubernetes certifications, etc.).
